5 Points to a Successful Newsletter

A newsletter is a great way to show that you are the expert in any given area. It’s also a great way to build trust with your subscribers by providing great unique content. Providing a free newsletter can be the gateway in which you turn visitors into customers and passerby’s into friends.

In the next few paragraphs I will give you an idea of what to consider when publishing a newsletter. These should give you an idea of how to format and write your letters.

To start the first thing to think about when publishing a newsletter is that it should relate back to the information on your website.

For instance, if your website is all about making money on the internet then you wouldn’t have a newsletter about dogs. The people that opted into our newsletter obviously liked what you had to say about making money on the internet.

They want to know more of your knowledge so keep it relevant.

Mainly on point one is you should keep your readers interest first. Make sure you are satisfying their needs and not yours.

Secondly, your newsletter should be well written and entertaining. Now this doesn’t mean you should be off the wall, however you should keep the readers interest. Also make the newsletter as context rich as you possibly can. You must give the readers great free information week in a and week out.

Third, make sure all of the facts and such are accurate. You are the expert here; make sure your newsletters truly represent that. The last thing you want is your subscribers calling you on your lack of knowledge.

Fourth, make sure you provide valuable and fresh new content to your subscribers. You don’t want to publish outdated old boring material to your list. If you do this on a regular basis you may get people dropping out of your newsletter fast. If people start dropping out, send out a survey asking them how you can improve. Ask your subscribers what they really want to see, the more interaction the better.

Lastly, never use any materials that aren’t original unless you site them. Trust me, if you give people original content they will praise you for it.

Short Term Profits vs. Long Term Success

Sat, May 31, 2008

This topic has bugged me for a while so I figured why not just write about it. Alright so let’s get to it.

Well to start I should ask you a question.

What do you want out of your business?

I mean profit wise; do you want short term profits or long term success?

Well most would say long term success, but most of the people joining network marketing today are thinking in the short term.

So why do people have network marketing backwards today?

Well before I go on I can’t honestly say I know that people have always been this way.

Lets face it I don’t know what the industry was like 50 years ago, but I know what its like right now.

In all honesty the past doesn’t matter, only the future matters (because you can control it). With that being said let me continue.

So why do people have network marketing backwards?

Simple, people think about themselves first which is completely backwards.

This is mainly the reason that people die off in this industry so fast.

Excuse my French, but why the hell would I want to join with a person who doesn’t care about my success.  Is that the kind of person who is going to be there for me through thick and thin?  Of course not, they wanted your money and they were thinking in the short term.

The day you stop concentrating on yourself and honestly start to help people is the day you achieve your success. Once you help enough people achieve their goals you will achieve yours I guarantee it. This is where the long term success and profits come into play.

You must be a mentor with a servants heart. The number of people you help will be a direct reflection of the money you make. Zig Ziglar once said,

“The more you help people get what they want, the more you will get what you want.”

You need to be willing to give, give, give, give and give some more before you can get. This is vitally important to your long term success in this industry. Because this industry can be amazingly gratifying when people tell you they just bought that new house or whatever it was they were striving towards.

Moral of this story, give give give, before you can get get get.  The sooner you decide to become a mentor with a servants heart the sooner you have success. So start right now, go help someone near you do something to get used to it.

The 5 Best Methods To Get Cheap Website Traffic

Nobody can deny that when you talk about profit you talk website traffic. Everyone knows that you can have a website out there but without visitors it truly means nothing. So how do we go about getting the traffic?

Most of the big dogs are spending a ton of money to get all their traffic or spending a ton of time doing Search Engine Optimization, which I’ve mastered.

Either way we are looking for something that won’t break the bank or use up all our days.

Well there are plenty of ways of getting traffic, but I’m going to focus on the five cheapest ways I know of getting traffic.

The first method I’m going to share is what are called link exchanges.

This method is usually used if two different sites want to spread the awareness of each others sites.

They will exchange links and put each others links on their own sites. I like to get creative and put these links throughout my site in different places. Lets say I’m writing an article on building an opt-in list. Then I would go find a great opt-in list product that I feel passionate about and exchange links with that person.

Then I would drop the link at the end of the article as a “recommendation” to my readers. This method works great and the search engines love it.

The second method is called traffic exchanges.

Similar to link exchanges, traffic exchanges are just really the viewing of another person’s website. As you view other’s websites you earn credits and you can use them to display your site (impressions) to other people.

The third method is to write articles, which is my personal favorite.

Basically all you do is write an article (300-500 words usually) on a topic and submit them to the major article directories and ezine publishers. Now you want to write on topics that are relevant to your website. If your website is all about dogs, then write an article on how to train dogs.

The great thing about articles is that you are viewed at the expect and people will want to learn more. But how do they find you? Well down at the bottom of your article you put a resource box with your information and your website. This not only gets your site visibility but it also creates an inbound link to your site, which the search engines love (but that’s a whole different story). Just make sure your article is extremely informative and useful and you should be fine.

The fourth method is simply making a newsletter.

True publishing a newsletter seems like a pretty big task but it can be simplified. You can go on the big article directories and take articles from there as long as you leave their resource boxes in tact. So this way you can get free valuable content for your subscribers and get the word out about your newsletter.

The last method is to join some online forums.

This last method is a little more time intensive for the returns that you receive, however if used correctly can be very effective. Many people look past forums, but the ones getting high volumes of traffic can be golden opportunities. What you want to do is go into forums of interest and just start answering peoples questions.

After a while people will start to view you as the expert and the link that you so conveniently placed at the bottom of your post will start to get some clicks. This method works great if you have the time, but don’t get caught up in reading every post just answer questions.
